Job Description: The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and administering supply chain best practices, tools, and processes across material management, procurement and subcontracts. You will collaborate with Program Management, Quality, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement to oversee and support implementation of strategic initiatives, as well as activities related to global sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality. You will work within the business unit to establish, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions all while developing and maintaining working relationships with global supply chain partners. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Power Point and Excel (advanced) Highly detailed and service oriented, strong process-driven nature strongly desired Must have good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate requirements internally and externally. Excellent communication and written skills. Solid negotiation and follow up skills. Experience in defense procurement within International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Must have good interpersonal skills. Experience with CostPoint and SAP purchasing modules. Preferred Additional Skills: APICS certification a plus Experience purchasing electronics, custom metal fabricated parts, cable and wiring harnesses, and / or complex electrical components and assemblies.
