Saint-Gobain Senior Reliability Engineer II - Solar Solutions in NORTHBORO, Massachusetts
CertainTeed, a subsidiarity of Saint-Gobain, develops innovative solar roofing that combines aesthetics, high energy efficiency, and durability. Our R&D team designs and validates electrical and mechanical assemblies which together with the photovoltaic modules makes the building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV).-
We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our R&D team. You will work as a reliability subject matter expert leading the team towards meeting reliability goals, test planning, and FMEA facilitation to inform design for reliability decisions and to develop validation plans.
Main Functions & Responsibilities
Acts as the reliability expert and works closely with electrical and mechanical design engineers
Originates and develops both test methods and analysis methods to determine reliability of components, subassembly and system. Acquires and analyzes data.
Work closely with failure analysis to understand root cause and inform design/component decisions
Conducts analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for a particular situation
Use data analysis techniques, including statistical process control, reliability modeling and prediction.
Gathers and examines basic reliability data from field studies or database and correlates the data for analysis using well-defined engineering techniques, principles and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Degree with a minimum of 12+ years’ experience, or an MS with 7+ years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 3+ years plus demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments in Engineering/Math/Statistics/Physics or related discipline.
Desired 5+ years (Minimum 3+ years)’ experience in reliability testing, test development, NPI, Design and reliability validation, preferred.-
