Job Title: -- Benefits Manager

Job Summary: -- This position assists in the administration of EMCOR’s employee benefit plans, including 401(k) Plans, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Process FMLA and leaves of absence for Corporate Office employees. Provide support for set up and communications for annual open enrollment. Utilize expertise in Benefits to ensure accurate program administration and continuous process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --

  • Assist in managing the relationship with key benefit vendor contacts to assure optimal plan administration

  • Assist with the completion of the 401(k) annual non-discrimination testing and external audit

  • Perform weekly/monthly 401(k) processes, including periodic internal audits

  • Provide support to subsidiary personnel in all aspects of administration of benefits plans

  • Provide reports to management on benefit enrollment data

  • Set up and coordinate employee benefit meetings at company locations

  • Assist Senior Manager, Benefits with resolving escalated claim issues

  • Investigate discrepancies in benefit processes and provide information in non-routine situations

  • Provide vendors appropriate documentation for life, retirement, and disability benefits claims where required

  • Conduct benefit program audits, identify data issues, work with Senior Manager, Benefits for resolutions

  • Maintain employee benefit files and other required records

  • Support Director of Benefits and Senior Manager, Benefits in benefit plan integration of new companies’ employees, including scheduling and attending on-site employee meetings when required

  • Act as corporate contact for weekly files to benefits administration vendors

Qualifications: --

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing 401(k) and benefit programs

  • A./B.S. or equivalent experience

  • Possess a solid understanding of employee benefits

  • Strong process, analytical and organizational skills are required

  • Excellent data manipulation and problem-solving analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail is critical to the position’s success

Compensation Range: $125,000 - 135,000

This position is bonus eligible.
