The Laboratory Supervisor provides oversight for the Medical Oncology Clinical Laboratory. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Models the effective, efficient operation by scheduling and assigning work to insure efficiency. Shifts assignments as required to respond to workflow demands. · Responsible for oversight of the quality management program in each section, including CAP proficiency surveys, maintenance of records, and quality assurance programs. · In collaboration with the Laboratory Manager, is responsible for staff selection, training, daily direction, performance evaluations, counseling and discipline. · Works closely with the Medical Director, and other supervisory team to formulate section activities, modify, and implement test procedures and policies, and maintain adherence to all regulatory (TJC, CAP, CLIA, etc.) regulations. · Participates in the planning and execution of department projects and service goals. · Travel between multiple sites required Education: · Associate's Degree in a related science field required; Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology or related science field preferred Experience: · Three (3) years area technical experience with at least two (2) years with demonstrated leadership qualities.* *Licensure, Certification, Registration: · National Certification (ASCP) or equivalent in related area of oversight required; (MT, MLS preferred)* We take great care of careers.
