Permanent, Full Time Purchasing Specialist!

Located in: Norwich, CT

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year (based on experience)

Overview:

Our client, a manufacturing firm based in Norwich, CT, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary based on experience. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in purchasing within the manufacturing industry and demonstrate expertise in handling purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and sourcing materials. Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase Orders: Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

• Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals while maintaining quality standards.

• Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and source materials to meet company requirements.

• ERP System: Utilize the ERP system for tracking inventory, managing orders, and generating reports.

• Excel: Use Excel for data analysis, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on purchasing experience, in the manufacturing industry.

• Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Attributes: Excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements

• 5 years of consistent experience in a purchasing role

• Manufacturing industry experience

• Strong MS Excel skills

• ERP software knowledge a huge plus
