Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

• 1 year Material Handling experience

• Ability and willingness to complete hazardous material handling training. • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (rulers, tape measures, etc.)

• Ability and willingness to use basic computer applications.

• Ability and willingness to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, etc.) and metric conversions (i.e. scale conversions).

• Ability and willingness to perform intermediate Oracle transactions.

• Basic understanding of process instructions.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Perform intermediate oracle transactions and associated order paperwork.

• Possess specific knowledge in one or more of the following material handler functions: receiving, shipping, stock room, and expendable items.

• Pick parts according to work order instructions for delivery to manufacturing.

• Perform cycle counts and associated transactions.

• Apply pack slip instructions when packing packaging parts.

• Upload and receive incoming deliveries.

• Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS systems, and other shipping systems.

• Special handling of parts with cure date / shelf life.

• Complete accurate scale counts.

• Create, print, and pull parts from finished goods stock room.

• Print invoices for external customers.

• Perform inventory transactions and process scrap tickets.

• Perform stocking transactions into stock room and finished goods as required.

• Research & correct inventory variances.

• Track shipping supply inventory (i.e. – boxes, bags, packing material, etc.).

• Obtain certification to ship hazardous chemicals.

• Perform final packaging.

• Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups via phone or internet.

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, tank carts, etc.

• Possess forklift certification as required.

• Possess valid driver’s license in order to pick up and deliver items. Must pass online training prior to driving.

• Must be comfortable multi-tasking and working within deadlines.

• Receive guidance from higher level employees.

• Cross train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.

• Compliantly complete all written and / or electronic labor tracking documentation.

• Keep all shift operators informed of special problems involving operation or set up.

• Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues.

• Frequent interaction with internal and / or external customers and support functions (i.e. planners, engineers, sourcing department, fulfillment, managers) outside of home department. May act as primary contact for auditors.

• Work extended and flexible hours as needed to support business needs including working weekends and / or extended shifts.

• Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.

• Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.

• Participate in and support team initiatives.

• Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.

• Understand and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.

• Other duties as be required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Flexibility in schedule to work overtime as required.

• Possess knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel Power Point, etc.) • Prior experience operating forklift.

• Previous experience in a self-directed team environment.

• 1-3 years material handling experience.

• Extreme attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to continuously lift 1-10 lbs., frequently lift 11-22 lbs., and occasionally lift 23-50 lbs.

• Ability to stand and walk continuously, as well as frequent bending, stooping, and crouching.

The pay for this position is $20/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 2/10/25.
