NBT Bank Operations Analyst II in Norwich, New York

Pay Range: $24.37 - $32.54

Researches and analyzes problems, policies, services, and systems in order to correct issues and make recommendations to management for enhancements and best practices. Analyzing may be done to resolve issues, keep pace with the market place, and ensure compliance with government regulations or to maximize efficiency. Acts as a backup to department supervisor in his/her absence.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent education and business experience

  • 3-5 years banking experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Accounting principles, organizational skills

  • Basic banking practices

  • Knowledge of bank products, services and systems

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • PC skills in a Windows environment to include Word/Excel

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

May occasionally be required to work outside of normal business hours including evenings or weekends.

Tasks Performed:

  • 30% Research and document operational and systematic issues/problems as they occur in the daily workflow, taking necessary steps to correct such problems in a timely manner.

  • 20% Represent the bank with technology providers to resolve problems and request enhancements. Organize and retrieve information as required.

  • 20% Research and evaluate products and services relative to operating procedures and system functionality in order to make recommendations for consideration by management.

  • 15% Perform special projects as required by management.

  • 5% Act as a liaison between operations and various user departments.

  • 5% Backup department supervisor as required.

  • 5% Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers

  • Stationary 75% of time or greater

  • Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs
