ITC Holdings Engineer- Line Maintenance (Intermediate-Senior) - 500535 in Novi, Michigan

JOB SUMMARY Supports business objectives through the implementation of the overhead lines maintenance and replacement programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides technical support to employees and contractors in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of transmission line system components. Overall review, coordination, and tracking of the transmission line maintenance program for the ITCT, METC, and ITCGP footprints, for both capital and O&M line maintenance work. Prepares estimates, and coordinates material requisitions, specifications, and drawings for internally designed projects. Implements maintenance projects by reviewing designs submitted by the design group and working with field employees/contractors to ensure successful completion of the project. May review and approve designs created by other Engineers. Collaborates with other engineers and departments which may include consulting, managing projects, organizing resources or maintenance work. Participates in Line Design Standards activities and may support the Line Design Standards Committee. Recommends, develops and maintains programs and data systems associated with transmission line maintenance. Generates internal and external reports on various facets of transmission system. Reviews and provides feedback on third party requests that can affect or change transmission line assets. Reviews and verifies third party costs for shared maintenance costs of the transmission line maintenance program. Attends meetings and training sessions to increase professional knowledge and skills. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education. Minimum Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in related area for an Intermediate Engineer level. Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in related area for Senior Engineer level Possess sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and individuals inside and outside the Company. Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision, in a team environment. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
