Job Description
Responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety & environmental requirements including site, corporate, local, state and federal regulations. Establish safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001). Review of HSE incidents for root cause and establishment of corrective and preventative actions. Provide technical assistance with various site staff functions. Coordinate site safety teams.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure Gemba Walks are completed and updated as needed
HSE related communication including training and safety alerts
Prepare and Present HSE related training material
Lead/participate in Incident Investigation facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventive actions
Participate in/lead site emergency response teams
Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements
Develop/revise HSE related policies/procedures for the site and drive implementation
Lead audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
Conduct formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes
Maintain data and documentation to meet Corporate and regulatory requirements and Sustainability Reporting.
Provide leadership and guidance to the site safety teams and 5S activities
Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies' requirements
Contribute to Bosch HSE teams in North America through project teams and internal auditing.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors Degree
1-3 years of experience in a Safety or Environmental support role in a warehousing, manufacturing, or industrial environment - OR - High School Diploma or equivalent, with 3-5 years of experience in a Safety or Environmental support role in a warehousing, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Valid Driver's License
Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Ability to travel occasionally
Work is conducted primarily onsite (at least 4 days per week)
Preferred:
B.S. in Engineering, Health, Safety and Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or related field
Knowledge of regulatory bodies and standards (OSHA, EPA, ISO, RCRA, etc.)
Ability to work independently and with a team
