Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives, aligning them with the organization\'s goals and objectives.
  • Assist with environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments within the organization to integrate sustainability practices into their daily operations.
  • Manage the annual collection of energy, water, waste, carbon emissions, employee and procurement data across the entire organization to meet reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainable solutions in areas such as energy efficiency, waste management, supply chain optimization and social responsibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to sustainability.
  • Assist with developing and conducting sustainability training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of sustainability within the organization.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports on sustainability initiatives, progress, and outcomes for stakeholders and management.
  • Act as an advocate for sustainability, raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices both internally and externally.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, an engineering or science discipline, sustainability, or related field; or combination of education and experience.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to promoting environmentally responsible practices.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as EcoVadis, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), EU\'s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD),Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess environmental impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Understanding of lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodologies and carbon footprint calculations.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, energy management systems, and waste management practices.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving sustainability programs forward.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
