GE Healthcare Engineering Manager - GoldSeal Imaging Engineering Manager in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

Key leadership role with one of GE Healthcare’s most unique environments. The GoldSeal Imaging Segment is a growing team delivering significant financial results to the Service Organization. This role will provide technical leadership and lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to deliver high quality refurbished and remanufactured medical imaging products that meet our customer’s needs and have a significant impact on revenue, sales margin and inventory turnover for the business.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide visible leadership and support for the development and direction of the GoldSeal Imaging Engineering team

  • Work with team members to cultivate a winning attitude and creative work environment

  • Partner with Global Imaging Engineering teams and drive refurbishment requirements upstream to the design

  • Partner and work across site leadership and cross functional teams to deliver programs to commitments: quality, schedule, and budget

  • Develop product roadmaps and integrated program plans

  • Deliver product commercialization, product controllership, and product structure maintenance

  • NPI leadership from product concept through customer satisfaction assurance

  • Engineering leadership for multi-product process/design standards including decontamination, data removal, and packaging design

  • Deliver cost reductions through Variable Cost Productivity Projects and Lean initiatives

  • Ensure compliance and support internal and external audits

  • Represent GEHC in R&D working group for Remanufacturing Industries Council

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering and 7 years of relevant work experience

  • 3+ years of functional management experience

  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others

  • Demonstrated leadership, energizing teams, and project management

  • External Focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, & the competitive landscape in the industry/function & considering the external impact of business activities & decisions on the external environment

Desired Characteristics

  • 5+ years of functional management experience

  • Six Sigma/Lean Certification

  • Diagnostic Imaging product experience

  • GE HealthCare experience

  • Experience with Refurbishment, Remanufacturing or Service activities

  • Experience leading New Product Introduction Teams and product launches
