Description

We are in search of an efficient Staff Accountant to join our team in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. As a Staff Accountant, your significant role will include handling accounts payable and receivable, carrying out bank reconciliations, managing the general ledger, and making journal entries. You will also play a key role in the month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general ledger

• Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently

• Prepare and record journal entries with high precision

• Play a key role in the month-end close process

• Ensure customer applications are processed accurately

• Maintain and update customer credit records diligently

• Take appropriate action on monitoring customer accounts

• Resolve customer inquiries with professionalism and timeliness

• Ensure all accounting tasks are carried out in compliance with industry standards

Requirements • Possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrable experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with maintaining General Ledger

• Experience in creating Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Month End Close processes

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented approach to work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proven track record in meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
