A career in Operations where none of us stand still.

In Operations we oversee manufacturing and packaging for Oak Hill Site, producing toothpaste in a cost-efficient manner. The purpose of the role is supporting the area to analyse root causes for process improvement and cost reduction developing creative solutions.

As a key member of Operations team, Operations Co-Op would be accountable for:

  • Support the manufacturing and/or packaging department in the making of toothpaste,

  • Improving our processes and procedures,

  • Participate with subject matters experts on new designs or re-engineering,

  • Experiment with new methodologies with a group of experts,

  • Participate and lead meetings and brainstorming sessions.

  • Promote day to day continuous improvement culture through the area and processes.

Upon graduation, successful operations Co-ops could potentially fill a multitude of roles, such as: first line leader, project engineer, and operations engineer in any of our sites in North America.

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Work with line managers supporting the area identifying opportunities for improvement, making analysis in possible root causes and implementing solutions.

  • Work with stakeholders at different levels across the business

  • Solve specific site problems under the direction of a subject matter expert.

  • Manage small to medium projects from beginning to end or in one or more of the project phases: specification, purchasing, installation, validation, and commissioning.

  • Promote day to day continuous improvement culture through the area and processes, challenging the status quo and looking for agile and creative solutions.

  • Support continuous capability development of self and others.

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity :

Education required:

  • Pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one following disciplines: industrial, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, supply chain or business administration or other technical discipline related to manufacturing.

  • Have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a degree program.

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

Other requirements:

  • Ability to start in January 2025.

  • Candidate must be able to work full-time (40 hours/ week) Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for 6 months.

  • Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.

  • This role is onsite at our Oak Hill site.

  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.

Expected start date: January 2025

The hourly rate for this role is $24.50/hour.
