We are seeking a Warehouse Swing Shift Supervisor for one of our top clients—a well-established and growing food distribution company in Oakland, CA. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role with a company that values growth, teamwork, and a positive work culture. As the Warehouse Swing Shift Supervisor, you'll manage night shift operations, lead a team, and oversee the day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the chance to work with a well-respected, family-owned company that has been in business since 1974.

salary: $30 - $35 per hour

work hours: 5 PM - 4 AM

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations for the swing shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees, providing training, guidance, and motivation to maintain high performance.

• Oversee inventory control, including accurate box counts, regular product rotation (FIFO), and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.

• Work in cold storage environments (coolers and freezers) to ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive products.

• Oversee order selection and scanning processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of customer orders.

• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to load and unload trailers, ensuring smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.

• Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to coordinate incoming shipments, deliveries, and routing of trucks based on customer demands.

• Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, keeping accurate records and scheduling regular checks to maximize equipment longevity.

• Draft and maintain professional documentation, including emails, company procedures, and disciplinary actions, as required.

• Ensure deadlines are met under high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive work environment.

The essential functions of this role include:
