We are seeking a Warehouse Swing Shift Supervisor for one of our top clients—a well-established and growing food distribution company in Oakland, CA. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role with a company that values growth, teamwork, and a positive work culture. As the Warehouse Swing Shift Supervisor, you'll manage night shift operations, lead a team, and oversee the day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the chance to work with a well-respected, family-owned company that has been in business since 1974.

salary: $30 - $35 per hour

work hours: 5 PM - 4 AM

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations for the swing shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees, providing training, guidance, and motivation to maintain high performance.
Oversee inventory control, including accurate box counts, regular product rotation (FIFO), and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
Work in cold storage environments (coolers and freezers) to ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive products.
Oversee order selection and scanning processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of customer orders.
Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to load and unload trailers, ensuring smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to coordinate incoming shipments, deliveries, and routing of trucks based on customer demands.
Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, keeping accurate records and scheduling regular checks to maximize equipment longevity.
Draft and maintain professional documentation, including emails, company procedures, and disciplinary actions, as required.
Ensure deadlines are met under high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive work environment.
The essential functions of this role include:
