Location: Oakland (Bay Area)8 Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Security Systems Lead Integrator/Project Manager to oversee the deployment and management of residential and commercial security system projects. This role combines technical expertise with project management skills, ensuring that installations, configurations, and maintenance services are executed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience, a proven ability to lead teams, and a strong customer service focus. As a lead, you will manage project timelines, mentor technicians, and actively contribute to installation and troubleshooting tasks as needed. This is a key position for an individual who excels in both technical execution and leadership. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership * Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of security system integration projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle. * Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining responsibility for overall project success. Technical Expertise * Lead the installation, configuration, and programming of advanced security systems, including those AXIS, DW, 2N, Aiphone, Honeywell (Residio), Visiplex systems, and more. * Experience with TCP/IP networking, CCTV, and Access Control Systems * Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to maintain system performance and client satisfaction. * Perform preventive maintenance and recommend system upgrades as needed. Team Development * Mentor and train technicians on best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and new technologies. * Conduct quality checks on completed installations to ensure compliance with company and client standards. * Foster a collaborative and professional work environment. Client Training and Support * Guide clients through system features and functionality, ensuring they are confident in using their systems. * Provide clear and concise user manuals and documentation where available. Documentation and Compliance * Maintain accurate records of project milestones, work performed, materials used, and system configurations. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and industry regulations. Qualifications Experience and Technical Skills * 5+ years of experience in security system integration, with expertise in CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and PA systems such as AXIS, DW, 2N, Aiphone, Honeywell (Residio), and Visiplex systems. * Proficient in programming platforms such as AXIS 2N, Paxton, and alarm.com, with experience in Total Connect solutions. * Strong ability to interpret design drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Project Management Skills * Proven experience managing projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. * Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Physical and Practical Requirements * Capable of lifting/moving equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and working in various physical positions (e.g., ladders, crawl spaces). * Clean driving record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check. * Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Education and Certification * High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school training or relevant certifications preferred. * Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus but not mandatory.
