Robert Half Accounting and Administrative Clerk in Oakland, California

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Administrative and Accounting Clerk for our growing real estate property management company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for a well-organized, multitasking professional who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic bookkeeping and financial transactions, including accounts payables and receivables, daily financial entries and reconciliations.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.

  • Responsible for contacting tenants regarding rent collection, processing payments, and recording and depositing rental income.

  • Handle office administrative tasks such as filing, data management, organizing correspondence, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.

  • Support property management staff in contract administration and maintenance requests.

  • Maintain records of property inventory including purchase, sale, rental and contract agreement details.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants, property owners, and service providers.

  • Assist with new tenant onboardings, including preparing and maintaining lease documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and real estate regulations.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, accounting clerk, or in a similar role within real estate property management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software, such as Yardi or similar.

  • Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and financial transactions.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, ideally in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate or a related field.

Work Schedule: This position is a fulltime and permanent role which requires 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, working onsite three times per week. Some out-of-state travel will be necessary to visit the portfolio real estate assets.
