URGENTLY Hiring Packging Machine Operator for a Food & Spice Manufacturer!

Location: Oakland, NJ

Job Title: Packaging Machine Operators

Pay: $22-$25/hour (based on experience) ; Overtime: $33-$37.50/hour

Shift: First shift 7am-3:30pm ; Second Shift: 3pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Operating automated Form, fill, seal (FFS) machines to program, run, and perform continuous QC

• Sorting, weighing, and confirming that the dispensed product is within the weight requirement & meets specifications

• Troubleshooting – adjusting settings as machines run; stopping or resetting machines to fix malfunctions or clear jams

• Be able to quickly notice deviations from normal equipment function

• Have excellent hand-eye coordination and be able to perform tasks quickly and correctly

• Basic math skills – i.e. ability to convert ounces to pounds and perform basic addition/subtraction of decimals and fractions

• Basic computer & documentation skills

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of FFS machinery experience ($25 per hour)

• Any food packaging machinery experience – at least 2 years ($22 per hour)

• Must have basic math and computer skills

• Must be able to run and operate packaging equipment: FFS, bagging, sealing, cartoning, etc

• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) experience
