Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Manager in the construction/contractor industry based in Ocean, New Jersey. The role involves managing payroll processes in a dynamic workplace and requires proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and knowledge of prevailing wage.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage payroll procedures ensuring compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations

• Oversee the processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades

• Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately

• Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll reporting

• Manage relationships with payroll service providers to ensure accurate and timely pay runs

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities

• Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records

• Ensure employees understand and comply with payroll procedures

• Leverage ADP Workforce Now software for payroll processing

• Stay updated on regulations affecting payroll procedures and ensure company compliance. Requirements • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager in the construction/contractor industry

• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing, tax procedures, and benefits administration

• Proficiency in payroll software, particularly ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with prevailing wage laws and regulations

• Excellent mathematical skills and an analytical mindset

• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

• High level of organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred

• Certification from the American Payroll Association would be advantageous.
