Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Oceanside, California. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor inquiries, and conducting check runs in various city departments. Your role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations for the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices, ensuring they are correctly entered and matched

• Handle a check run on a weekly basis, managing between 100 to 300 checks

• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records

• Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software for accounts payable tasks

• Use basic Excel skills for data management and analysis

• Ensure correct coding of invoices for all city departments

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action as required

• Work collaboratively with the accounting technician on various tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with conducting Check Runs

• Ability to perform Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Expertise in Invoice Processing

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software
