Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Softball Coach to lead our 7th and 8th-grade softball teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coaching and Training:

  • Develop and implement practice plans that enhance player skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Conduct practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and game strategy.

• Team Management:

  • Organize and manage team rosters, schedules, and transportation for games.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and any relevant updates.

• Game Strategy:

  • Prepare the team for competitions by teaching game rules, strategies, and tactics.
  • Analyze game performance and provide constructive feedback to players.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure the safety of all athletes during practices and games, adhering to school policies and regulations.
  • Promote a positive environment that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.

• Mentorship and Development:

  • Act as a mentor and role model, encouraging student-athletes to achieve personal and athletic growth.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• A passion for youth sports and the ability to foster a positive team culture.
