Area Manager Location: Ogden, Utah Your Day to Day: * Implement standards contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics and Conduct." Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies, and enforce them within this supervised activity. * Execute activities necessary to assure the timeliness and quality of tubing manufacture. * Direct department personnel to achieve quality, cost and productivity improvements consistent with plant objectives. * Establish department and individual objectives; monitor performance against those objectives. * Create an environment that encourages and supports employee participation through involvement in problem-solving, decision-making and implementing change. * Develop and implement plans for meeting customer requirements; ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and government regulations. * Establish staffing and budget requirements consistent with plant objectives and monitor results. * Responsible for the skill and career development of employees reporting to this position, directly, or through others. * Collaborate with other departments to meet plant/division objectives. * Maintain high employee morale in an environment of dynamic production load requirements and technological changes. * Implement solutions to long and short term technical issues often requiring the obtaining of resources from outside of the department. * Utilize plant, division, business unit and Corporate resources, as necessary, to address resolution of key issues. * Interface with plant staff management in the development, implementation and maintenance of plant policy. * Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and interfaces with customers and auditors. * Must implement change in accordance with the needs of the business and the strategic plans of the organization.

Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: - Bachelor's degree with a technical, business, or engineering focus. - Minimum 5 years management experience. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.- Broad understanding of manufacturing processes. Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing tools is preferred. - Fundamental knowledge of business and performance improvement technology and applications. - Business strategic planning, implementation and cost savings. - Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements. - Knowledge of engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and Lean Enterprise techniques is preferred. - Knowledge of Westinghouse customers, products, suppliers, and sites is preferred.
