The Budget & Institutional Research (BIR) seeks to hire a student worker to assist with dashboard,report,and data warehouse projects. Tasks will include writing script,visualizing data,writing documentation,and validating data quality. This position applies skills learned in mathematics,computer science,management information systems,and communications major coursework.The position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week,up to a maximum of 20,depending on institutional need and student availability. The wage will be $15/hr.Responsibilities:Write script in dashboard and reporting software that displays data in graphs and tables for end users.Explain how data are collected and metrics are calculated in written documentation.Validate data quality in the data warehouse and dashboards/reports by checking existing dashboards/reports,reviewing outliers,and consulting BIR staff.Adhere to government regulations and university standards surrounding the usage and sharing of personal and sensitive data.Write project updates in project management software.
