The Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR),a Division of the Department of Workforce Services (DWS),is seeking a motivated individual with a disability to fill a part time,16-week,paid internship as a *Office Technician - *Work Ability Intern *- in our Ogden Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Office. The Ogden VR office is focused on providing people with disabilities counseling,guidance and supportive services necessary for them to engage in effective job preparation and those seeking employment.   In this context,the successful applicant will participate in day-to-day office support activities including taking calls and correctly directing clients and potential applicants to the necessary resources and assisting with front desk reception duties. *Principle Duties** The

 

Office Technician - *Work Ability Intern - *will perform the following tasks: 

  • Will work part time,20-32 hours per week.
  • Assists with inbound calls from clients seeking resources or appointment scheduling.
  • Assists with front desk reception duties.
  • Provides general office support including copying,scanning,faxing and email communication.
  • Assists with setup for applicant orientations.
  • Assists with setup for any in-district meetings.
  • Assists with vendor contacts and item purchase cost searches.

The Ideal Candidate The model applicant for this internship is someone who can demonstrate:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Computer expertise using Word,Gmail and spreadsheet software.
