SUNROC CONSTRUCTION Project Manager in OGDEN, Utah

FUNCTION: Under the direction of the construction area manager, the project manager is responsible to manage and review estimates and assigned construction projects. 

 

KEY ACTIVITIES: 

  • Visualize, define, plan, communicate, and implement the company vision and core values.

``` - Estimate and manage construction projects.

``` - Mentor and train construction interns, project engineers, and field engineers. 

```{=html}

``` - Manage and review estimates. 

```{=html}

``` - Monitor employee training and certification. 

```{=html}

``` - Maintain recruiting, hiring, promotion, and corrective action. 

```{=html}

``` - Project, organize, and implement project budgets and work under contract. 

```{=html}

``` - Work to resolve procedures, complaints and construction issues. 

```{=html}

``` - Monitor and control project to ensure it is completed on schedule and within budget. 

```{=html}

``` - Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. 

```{=html}

``` - Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling. 

```{=html}

``` - Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts. 

```{=html}

``` - Maintain insurable driving record. 

```{=html}

``` - Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements. 

 

 

*KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills

``` - Ability to review and analyze financial information

``` - Strategic thinking skills

``` - Knowledge of Viewpoint software, Primavera scheduling software, MicroStation and Inroads design software, Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), Heavy Bid software and basic surveying and measuring equipment

``` - Proficient Microsoft Office skills, superior in Excel 

```{=html}

``` - Ability to organize all aspects of the project and foresee and resolve project conflicts 

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or construction management.

``` - Five years of progressive estimating and project management. 

```{=html}

``` - Experience in management and road construction materials.
