    Summary:

    Performs multiple aspects of commercial walls and ceiling assemblies associated with the construction and renovation of commercial buildings, factories, office buildings, etc. Contribute to the responsibility for safety, client satisfaction, project quality, cost control/schedule adherence, and working as a team with office and other team personnel. Workers shall conform to applicable corporate policies & procedures, uphold ethical standards, and exemplify corporate values.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Keep Safety in front of all things we do including following all Nabholz and job specific safety procedures. Participate in daily pre-task analysis and jobsite safety inspections as required. Wear PPE related to the work at all times.

  • Receive and follow instructions needed to perform job from supervisor.

  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to determine installation requirements and procedures for wall, header, and ceiling assemblies.

  • Prepare and set up equipment, tools, scaffold, ladders, lasers, etc as required for the work.

  • Layout of walls, building elements and reference lines and measure/cut all members to required sizes for installation.

  • Install tracks, metal studs, frame headers and openings, install backing in walls and any other work elements common to the framing of metal stud walls. Working knowledge of fasteners, attachment methods and best industry practices related to the work.

  • Install hollow metal frames - plumb, level, and square in openings.

  • Install insulation batts in walls where required.

  • Measure, cut and hang sheetrock on walls and ceilings.

  • Layout of acoustical grid ceilings and installation of wall edge, mains, tees, support wire, ceiling tiles, etc.

  • Effective communication with other team members, project manager or other supervisors.

  • This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.

  • All other tasks as assigned.

    Education/Skill Requirements :

  • Minimum 3 years of self-perform experience with the duties and responsibilities listed above.

  • Ability to work in noisy and hot or cold environments.

  • Employees are expected to fulfill list of required hand tools within 60 days of employment.

  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and to respond to 24x7 emergency call out as needed.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

    Physical Demands :

  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.

  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to work in heat or cold, work outside, and work in high elevations.

    Work environment:

  • Ability to travel frequently, including overnight or for up to two-weeks in a month on occasion.

  • Availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends.

  • Long periods outdoors, exposed to various types of weather conditions, such as extreme heat and cold.

  • Ability to work with a team or alone depending on the scope and nature of the work.
