Summary Justice Prisoners and Alien Transportation System, Oklahoma City, OK. The selectee of this position serves as a Quality Assurance Specialist. You will be responsible for administering the JPATS Aircraft Quality Assurance Program; an integral component of the JPATS Maintenance and Inspection Program for JPATS owned, transport category, twin turboprop aircraft. Responsibilities As a Quality Assurance Specialist at the GS-1910-12 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Ensures contractor compliance with all contractual requirements,applicable Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) regulations and JP A TS quality assurance and maintenance and inspection programs policies and procedures; as detailed in the JP A TS General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Analyzes and investigates adverse quality conditions and recommends to JP A TS management possible corrective actions; develops recommendations for new approaches to resolve persistent, widespread, or critical problems. Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-1910-12 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications: Individual Occupation Requirements Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Experience: Specialized Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas. In addition to the Individual Occupational Requirements above, you must also meet the specialized experience below to be minimally qualified for this position. Specialized Experience: One year (12 months) of experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: 1) Monitoring aircraft maintenance and inspection operations; 2) Identifying trends or weaknesses in an aircraft maintenance and inspection program; 3) Conducting quality assurance audits of areas related to an aircraft maintenance and inspection program; and 4) Inspecting aircraft maintenance to ensure compliance with organization and federal regulations, polices, and procedures.
