Description

Our Client is looking for a Director of Revenue to join their team. The Director of Revenue Cycle oversees the billing/coding staff and makes day-to-day decisions. This role involves understanding and coding all procedures, assigning and managing billing staff to correctly check eligibility, submit claims, correct claims, post payments, submit appeals, and report. The Director should know about both in-network and out-of-network billing and is responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions of the billing and coding office to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician, and other customer relations. This position requires the ability to produce and present detailed billing activity reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote revenue cycle improvements throughout the organization, including working with appropriate individuals in medical records, billing, and denial management to aid in the resolution of identified revenue cycle issues.

  • Manage actions relating to delinquent accounts, collection agencies, special adjustments, and/or write-offs.

  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Maintain up-to-date expertise and knowledge of healthcare billing laws, rules, regulations, and developments necessary for the organization to make informed business decisions.

  • Manage the reimbursement, coding & compliance, information systems, and credentialing.

  • Monitor and participate in the review and negotiation of third-party payer contracts.

  • Prepare analysis reports pertaining to Accounts Receivable for management.

  • Implement and monitor collection procedures and policies, minimizing contractual and bad debt write-offs, and maximizing cash collections.

  • Set goals, communicate expectations to staff, and follow up as needed.

  • Perform billing tasks assigned by management which may include data entry, claim review, charge review, accounts receivable follow-up, or other related responsibilities.

    Requirements • Position requires 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.

• Strong proficiency in CRM and ERP Solutions is expected.

• Experience with billing functions and collection processes is required.

• Familiarity with compliance regulations and managing delinquencies is crucial.

• Expertise in internal revenue management is a must.

• Experience with Sage Accounting Software and QuickBooks is required.

• Proven background in accounting management and retention management is vital.

• Ability to effectively manage a team and foster a collaborative work environment is essential.

• The ideal candidate should have the ability to create and implement strategic revenue growth plans.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed.

• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills are required.

• The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
