Siemens Energy Project Manager - New Equipment (Painted Post, NY, Olean, NY, or Houston, TX) in Olean, New York

Siemens Energy is looking for a project manager with hands-on industrial equipment expertise! The project manager is responsible for project planning and oversight of planned activities from beginning to end. The selected candidate balances budgets, keeps track of work in progress, collaborates with suppliers, handles risks, and ensures projects are completed per schedule/budget.

Work with engineering, drafting, supply chain management, manufacturing, quality, and shipping to ensure the overall scope of supply per the quotation proposals is achieved. The successful candidate will connect with all levels of the organization, for example, explaining requirements to skilled craftspeople, technically supporting the scope of supply to other professionals, or resolving customer concerns and will run large multi-faceted projects and multiple projects at the same time. This position requires travel so the selected candidate will have a valid driver’s license, passport and ability to travel by plane!

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Takefull ownership of the order entry, scope, budget, related key meetings,and schedule for projects assigned; Strong understanding of contractprovisions; Regularly inform functional representatives of salientprovisions, and ensuring organizational compliance with all requirements.

  • Createand maintain project plans and master project timeline; Effectively reportprogress and status while documenting all technical and commercialcontractual agreements and manage project scope via Contract ChangeAuthorizations while developing project-specific risk management plans;proactively manage risk throughout project execution to minimize companyexposure.

  • Manageand maintain the project budget, initiate and facilitate correctiveactions to maintain financial objectives and revenue recognition.Positively influence financial position, via cash flow management, workingwith internal accounting, and the client to ensure timely issue andcollection of invoices related to key payments.

  • Supportthe project through the warranty phase, working with the CommissioningTeam members to address installation, startup, or warranty issues.

  • Liaisewith clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and management to developrelationships that are conducive to the successful completion of theproject.

  • FacilitateLessons Learned meetings for all projects; identify corrective actions and solicit a Customer Satisfaction Survey as part of the contract closureprocess.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering, or a related field required.

  • Musthave a minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial equipment orrelated industries (ex. Familiar with centrifugal and/or reciprocatingcompressors, gas, and/or steam turbines); combined experience in projectmanagement and leading teams is preferred.

  • Knowledgeof project management concepts, practices and procedures, and schedulemanagement tools (e.g. MS Project or equivalent) is preferred;Professional project management certification is also a strong plus.

  • Leadershipskills including problem-solving, big-picture focus, sophisticated andlinear thinking, while efficiently working in time-sensitive situations.

  • Musthave strong oral & written communication skills to prepare & makepresentations to any internal /external client level.

  • Candidateshould be self-motivated, well-organized, have good listening skills, andconcisely relay accurate information to others

This job may be based in Painted Post, NY or Olean, NY. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position if based in Painted Post, NY or Olean, NY is $105,000 - $195,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of base salary.
