Protective Industrial Products Senior Inventory Control Analyst in Olive Branch, Mississippi

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Inventory Control Analyst is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our inventory management processes. The Senior Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for analyzing inventory data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory accuracy and performance. Please note the required work schedule is in the office Monday through Friday at our Distribution Center in Olive Branch, MS.

YOU ARE

Detail Oriented and will play a critical role in Inventory Accuracy and Reconciliation:

  • Lead efforts to reconcile inventory across multiple systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency throughout the distribution center.

  • Conduct regulation cycle counts, and physical inventory audits and complete corrective actions as required.

  • Analyze root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Conduct thorough and regular audits of inventory levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies in stock counts, transactions, and system records.

  • Provide guidance and training to inventory control staff on best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    Focused on Data Analytics and Reporting to Create Value:

  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to monitor inventory trends, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports that provide actionable insights for management.

  • Develop and maintain detailed inventory reports, including cycle count results, shrinkage analysis, and inventory turnover rates.

  • Present findings and recommendations to site leadership to support data-driven decision-making.

    Passionate about Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the inventory control function, including enhancements to cycle counting procedures, inventory accuracy initiatives, and system optimizations.

  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team to execute Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining inventory processes and reducing errors.

  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to improve system functionality, including the integration and optimization of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

    REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS

    Core Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen diligence and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Prior experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies considered a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to inventory control and management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environments

    Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within a complex distribution center environment.
