Application Support Programmer Analyst

The Application Support Programmer Analyst is an organized, collaborative, technical programmer, focused on providing incident resolution, request fulfillment and defined lifecycle maintenance for software applications and other services defined by Technical Owners.

Provide second level support response and troubleshooting for applications

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the Coding, Connections, User Requirements, Testing, and Use of assigned District Applications.

  • Rely on experience and judgment to resolve or fulfill second level support tickets. Strive to meet defined support SLAs.

  • Rely on experience and judgment to resolve respond to application monitoring alerts. Strive proactively avoid application outages.

  • Work with application vendors to drive resolution and assist Business Partners.

  • Demonstrate awareness of OPPD Application Operation concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the District's computing environment .

  • Participate in defined and planned lifecycle management of applications.

  • Contribute new and updated documents to OPPD knowledge and documentation repositories.

    Maintenance of assigned applications

  • Provide application subject matter expertise to planned lifecycle management of assigned applications.

    Project Participation

  • Participate in cross functional project teams.

  • Assist in the requirement building, testing, and launch of assigned application projects and enhancements.

  • OPPD ITSM Procedure Adherence Adhere to all OPPD ITSM Procedures especially Change Control, Incident, and Problem Management.

    Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business with emphasis on MIS, or other information technology discipline, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience in software development and coding

  • Two years¿ experience in business process analysis or within the District's computing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of multiple development languages

  • Experience in software development, coding, or support

  • Understand written and oral instructions.

  • Strong knowledge of personal computer software and hardware, particularly Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office product suite, Active Directory, and Exchange

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision. Requires exceptional organizational skills, problem solving skills, and flexibility in changing priorities

  • Be a team player with the ability to share knowledge for the overall benefit of the team and organization

    Desired

  • Familiarity with ITIL4 and Knowledge Centered Service Concepts
