salary: $17.99 - $18 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 2 PM - 10 PM

Responsibilities

Material Handling: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move recyclable materials, including paper, plastics, metals, and other items, within the facility.

• Loading/Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles, ensuring that materials are properly secured and transported.

• Storage: Organize and stack materials in designated areas, following company guidelines to maximize space and efficiency.

• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records by properly documenting material movements and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.

• Quality Control: Inspect materials for contamination or damage before processing, and follow proper procedures for handling non-recyclable items.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the forklift, such as checking fluid levels, tires, and battery, and report any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.

• Cleanliness: Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly sweeping, removing debris, and organizing materials.

• Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and meet production targets.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
