Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for a well-established food manufacturing company. The role involves performing reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on ovens, conveyors, packaging equipment, and other related machines. We are looking to fill 6 positions across three shifts: 1st (7 AM - 3:30 PM), 2nd (3 PM - 11:30 PM), and 3rd (11 PM - 7:30 AM).

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance troubleshooting on ovens, conveyors, packaging equipment, and other related machines.

  • Work collaboratively with a team of approximately 25 technicians.

  • Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 1+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic

  • Experience with 480v electrical systems

  • Proficiency in conveyor maintenance

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • PLC troubleshooting experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing and working in hot temperatures is a plus.

  • Ammonia and steam boiler experience is highly desirable.

  • Mechanically inclined, including farm or aircraft maintenance experience, is welcomed.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a large baking facility with ovens, making it approximately 15 degrees hotter in the summer. The plant is filled with flour and sugar, and employees will work 6 days a week with rotating off days. Shifts include weekends, and the facility operates under strict safety protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00
