This role will be hybrid in LinkedIn's Omaha, NE office location.

The Trust Investigations Senior Manager is responsible for leading Trust Investigations’ operational function, a global team with managers and staff located principally in Omaha, NE and Bangalore India. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for setting strategy, ensuring cohesive operations, developing metrics, and ensuring the accuracy of our scaled abuse enforcements. A successful candidate will have experience leading investigations teams and ensuring their insights are applied to Trust systems, including to rules engines and ML systems. This role is cross functional in nature and will expose the right candidate to extensive experience working with various roles in Trust.

Responsibilities:

· Manage a team of senior-level individual contributors and front line managers, holding · · accountability for their performance and results.

· Set clear team and project objectives to drive outcomes aligned with LinkedIn Trust’s goals.

· Work with teams in Engineering, AI and Data roles to ensure investigations and case outcomes inform Trust’s technology strategy

· Manage executive communications and messaging to partners in high consequence abuse investigations

· Develop and maintain healthy team operations that support fast moving casework

· Influence and inform tooling and technology investments that facilitate team operations

· Develop and own measurement strategy that reflects key team performance indicators and individual impact

· Create and uphold a prioritization framework that ensures the team is focused on the right jobs and has the ability to push back on non-goal requests

· Foster a culture of innovation, growth and personal development that enables the team to invest in themselves and their technical capabilities

· Maintain visibility and knowledge of current team operations and the ability to communicate detailed context to leadership and partners when required.

· Lead the team in trend analysis, promoting thorough research and data-driven decision-making for effective fraud and abuse mitigation

· Maintain equitable decision making and inclusive business practices that support a globally distributed team

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in cyber security, criminal justice or other related technical disciplines, or equivalent technical experience

· 3+ years leading teams focused in a security operations, fraud operations or Trust and Safety context

· Subject matter expertise in account, behavior or content abuse in a social media or user generated content context.

· Experience with open-source investigation techniques and familiarity with a variety of internet research tools

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s Degree in cyber security, criminal justice or related technical disciplines; AND

· 3+ years experience in one or more of the following areas OR combination thereof 1) Content moderation and policy enforcement and 2)Counter-fraud or financial crime enforcement

· Strong technical acumen and the ability to translate data and investigative outcomes into actionable insights for Engineering and AI partners as well as senior leadership.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence across all levels of the organization.

· Proven experience developing and maintaining senior individual contributors, with a strong track record of building high performing teams.

· Proactive threat and fraud hunting against large scale threats

· Experience leading global teams spanning multiple locations/time zones

· Demonstrated ability to navigate complex cross-functional dependencies and drive collaboration across diverse teams.

· Experience working with SQL, Python or similar scripting languages

· Experience working or managing projects that have enterprise-wide impact and/or multi-organization cross functional stakeholders

The pay range for this role is $149,000-247,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
