Job Summary:

As a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security. You will work collaboratively with developers and IT teams to refine database queries, optimize schemas, and implement robust solutions to complex problems. Your expertise will be essential for providing 24x7 support to critical production systems and driving continuous improvement in database management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of database servers and processes.

  • Monitor system health and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve real-time issues with innovative solutions.

  • Continuously improve and automate regular processes, addressing issues and documenting changes effectively.

  • Assist development teams with query tuning and schema refinement.

  • Provide uninterrupted support for critical production systems, including after-hours maintenance and release deployments.

  • Design, build, and troubleshoot ETL routines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  • Develop and refine complex stored procedures and functions to optimize database operations.

  • Employ logical database design principles and data modeling techniques, including star schema and 3NF.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection standards.

  • Communicate technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.

  • Manage workloads to meet deadlines, being available for after-hours deployments and production issues.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Over 10 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration.

  • 8 years or more proficiency in SSIS package and job troubleshooting.

  • 8 years or more with ETL routines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  • Strong skills in data modeling and logical database design.

  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional problem-solving approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under strict deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions.

  • Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.

  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices.

The on-target earnings range is $109,749 to $112,000 which includes a base salary and incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies. The deadline to apply for this position is 11/30
