Robert Half Quality Assurance Tester in Oneida, New York
Description
We are in search for a Quality Assurance Tester in the manufacturing industry. The position is located in Oneida, New York. As part of our team, you will be tasked with ensuring the functionality and quality of our software products. This role involves executing test cases, identifying software defects, and verifying their resolution.
Responsibilities:
• Execute manual test cases and document the results meticulously
• Identify and report software defects using bug-tracking systems
• Perform various types of testing including regression, functional, and integration
• Collaborate with software developers to clarify issues and retest resolved defects
• Ensure compliance with best testing practices and company standards
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and test strategy discussions
• Provide feedback on product quality and usability based on test results
• Maintain an accurate record of test results and any related documentation
• Monitor and update bug-tracking systems to reflect current status of identified defects
• Assist in the development and implementation of advanced product quality planning (APQP)
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Tester role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in QA Testing, Manual Testing, Integration Testing, and Automated Regression Testing
• Demonstrated experience with CMM Programming
• Bug Tracking, and BugTracker software
• Proven ability to create, execute, and maintain Test Cases
• Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Test Planning
• Experience in developing Test Strategy is required
• Must have a deep understanding of the SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and work independently when needed
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Must be proactive, highly motivated, and have a strong drive for results
