Company Overview:Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, nestled in the picturesque Oneonta, New York, is a premier 80-bed facility dedicated to providing exceptional long-term and short-term healthcare services. Our experienced team is committed to delivering personalized care, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and resources, to ensure our residents achieve their highest potential throughout their stay.

Position Available:We are currently seeking Physical Therapists (PT) to join our dynamic team.

  • Full-Time or Per Diem

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate & Plan: Assess residents’ conditions and develop tailored physical rehabilitation plans.

  • Enhance Mobility: Assist residents in improving their mobility through targeted exercises and therapy techniques.

  • Pain Management: Utilize hands-on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy devices to alleviate pain.

  • Education & Guidance: Instruct residents on the proper use of physical therapy equipment and provide support during tasks.

  • Recovery Support: Explain the recovery process and prepare residents for each stage of their rehabilitation.

  • Confidentiality: Maintain residents’ confidence by keeping all information confidential.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise physical therapy assistants as needed and contribute to a collaborative care environment.

  • Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure a safe and clean working environment at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.

  • Current New York State PT License.

  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is preferred.
