SUNY Oneonta Senior Staff Assistant, Outreach in Oneonta, New York

Light the way for student success as our new Senior Staff Assistant - Outreach in the Student Accounts Office. Expectations include, but are not limited to, serving as the office liaison to the Access and Opportunity Programs; providing one-on-one support to students with outstanding balances; providing customer service; and presenting to student and family cohorts. The Student Accounts Office provides assistance and information designed to enable students and families to meet their educational expenses with minimal stress. The office processes personal payments and all financial aid disbursements. Refunds are delivered to students in the most efficient manner possible. Duties include but are not limited to: Plan and implement specific outreach strategies for students with current semester overdue balances. Serve as the point of contact for students in the Access and Opportunity Programs (AOP) presenting to groups, meeting one-on-one, and attending various AOP functions. Manage the SUNY Cross Registration portal, answering questions from students and host institutions and processing outgoing payments. Manage third party payments such as ACCES-VR and Commission for the Blind. Assist students who are Studying Abroad or participating in Faculty Led Trips in conjunction with Financial Aid. Requirements:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation. One year experience of successfully working in a customer service setting. Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication. Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations effectively to large and small audiences. Experience working with and serving diverse populations. Preferred: Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience using Ellucian products such as Banner and Argos Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Willingness to foster an inclusive atmosphere with consideration to different backgrounds (cultural, racial, socioeconomic, identity, educational) when working with colleagues, students, and families. Ability to work independently and complete projects and manage tasks effectively.
