We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Financial Analyst in the construction and contracting industry based in Ontario, California. The successful candidate will be a key player in our finance department, with a focus on budgeting, financial analysis, and property management. Responsibilities: Tasked with the development and reconciliation of budgets for sectors including homebuilding, apartments, industrial, and commercial assets. In charge of creating and aligning cashflows for diverse asset categories such as homebuilding, apartments, and industrial properties.

Responsible for devising and integrating proformas for homebuilding, apartments, industrial, and commercial assets.

Handle consolidation of individual asset classes into comprehensive enterprise financials.

Develop banking proformas, presentations, and loan recaps as per requirements.

Collaborate with brokers on marketing strategies for commercial assets slated for sale or lease. Interact with management companies to formulate budgets and analyze performance outcomes.

Attend meetings with team members, service providers, investors, and external counsel among others.

Respond to inquiries both internal and external, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in responses. Assess and review property-level financial data including statements, budgets, tax returns for precision.

Collaborate with Corporate Controller to address operational or property-related issues.

Review vendor proposals and match them against financials/budgets.

Utilize expert-level Excel capabilities for data analysis and generate reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) driving strategic decisions.

Prepare residual receipts/cash flows, waterfall calculations based on audited financials, and track CPI increases.

Must understand real estate accounting principles and financial reporting processes and be able to spot discrepancies.

Responsible for timely and organized data insertion and follower to maintain databases.

Liaise and coordinate with other project teams within the organization.

Will cross-train in other departmental areas to gain a comprehensive understanding of all function areas. Undertake any other tasks or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst.

• MUST have multifamily, real estate, and property management experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using Crystal Reports for financial data analysis.

• Proven ability in data mining techniques to extract key information for decision making.

• Comprehensive understanding and experience in accounting functions.

• Experience in auditing financial records for accuracy and compliance.

• Familiarity with budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting.

• Experience in capital management, including allocation and monitoring of funds.

• Knowledge of multifamily properties, commercial real estate, commercial property management, and commercial leasing.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.

• Must be able to legally work in the location of the job.
