Robert Half is seeking a Sr. Sales and Use Tax Consultant. Our client, located in Orange, CA, is seeking a Sr. Sales and Use Tax Consultant for a 3-5 month engagement. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, combining both onsite and remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in indirect tax compliance and reporting, with experience managing multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

-Prepare and file monthly Sales and Use Tax returns for various taxing jurisdictions.

-Verify and manage Sales Tax Exemption Certificates received from customers.

-Retrieve data related to Tangible Business Personal Property and coordinate with external counterparts.

-Process Sales and Use Tax payments via EFT for multiple jurisdictions.

-Input and audit data in accounting software, managing journal entries as required.

-Compile and analyze data for ongoing projects, including system implementations and enhancements.

-Perform regular reconciliations of indirect tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

-Extensive experience in Sales and Use Tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

-Strong proficiency in accounting software and tax filing systems.
