Emerson Maintenance and Facilities Manager in Orange, Virginia
The Maintenance & Facilities Manager has responsibility for the Maintenance Department. They report to the Plant Manager and are responsible for leading maintenance efforts to optimally use manufacturing equipment, improve processes and support efficient implementation of new or modified equipment. They will also be responsible for efficient maintenance and keeping of all facilities, management of waste systems, contracts and vendor relations, and environmental and energy management programs. You will act as a key collaborator between internal and external partners, ensuring the effective execution of general maintenance and upkeep of the facility.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead all equipment maintenance and improvement efforts
Be responsible for timely repair and preventative maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment
Propose strategic capital expenditures to leadership
Focus on site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction
Maintain all inspection, audit, and maintenance records
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities
Support plant 5S efforts
Ensure Maintenance team is properly trained and qualified to perform work safely.
Perform duties as the Ridge Tool Corporate Environmental Engineer/Coordinator, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations and managing waste streams.
Coordinate with local and national safety teams and programs to maintain a safe work environment.
Plan and manage facility projects, upgrades, and programs, including HVAC/R and electrical distribution systems and equipment installation and upgrades effectively.
Be responsible for all aspects of building maintenance, including, but not limited to, plant roofs, building interior/exterior and grounds maintenance, fire suppression systems, plant and office cleaning and janitorial services, security services, fleet vehicles, forklift maintenance and onsite fitness center.
Collaborate with all partners to ensure needs are being met.
Drive innovation by supervising all aspects of renovation projects, refurbishments, etc., and ensuring the implementation of standard processes.
Be responsible for all aspects of A/R preparation, specifications, bid preparation, and vendor selection for contract services, as needed.
Maintain existing relationships with contractors and vendors.
Supervise contract employees (i.e., cleaning, security) and facilitate contractor problems when vital.
Adhere to the plant maintenance budget and work with Manager to facilitate changes.
Recommend and implement cost-reduction projects including reduction of energy consumption.
Develop long-term facilities management plans.

For This Role, You Will Need:
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering preferred (experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree will be considered)
7-10+ years’ of proven experience in a management role in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment maintenance requirements
Proven track record of leading teams for effective issue resolution

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience leading teams or projects
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE)
Lean Manufacturing experience
Experience working with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Systems
Experience with Maintenance Connect
Strong Safety Knowledge – LOTO, Arc Flash, OSHA Regulations, JSA’s, ETC.
