Actalent Certified Pharmacy Technician in Orlando, Florida

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians in Florida, Alabama, or South Carolina to join our team. In this role, you will review Prior Authorizations, make determinations, and forward them to a Pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and types of medications. This position is part of a large healthcare insurance company.

Responsibilities

  • Process prescription exceptions including resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.

  • Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.

  • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.

  • Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.

  • Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.

Essential Skills

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Experience with prior authorization and prescription benefits.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to work in a remote environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Nationally Certified Technician.

  • Registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence.

  • Experience in call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.

Work Environment

This is a remote position requiring a professional home office setup with strong WiFi and a private workspace with a closed door. Equipment, including a computer, monitor, and headset, will be provided. The shift is Monday-Friday from 8 am-8 pm in the time zone of residence, with rotating weekends and some holidays. Training will be from 10 am-6:30 pm EST. There is an opportunity for this position to become permanent, offering long-term career opportunities and benefits.
