Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:

  • We have an opportunity for a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to support our customer at NAWC TSD in Orlando, FL. Due to the classified nature of this effort all work must be completed at the customer site.

  • The ISSO will provide mission-critical support by:

  • Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, standards and methodologies.

  • Performing vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks.

  • Implementing operating systems and network devices security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides.

  • Performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.

  • Identifying Common Criteria and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) certified technologies and the DISA Approved Products List (APL).

  • Preparing certification letters and Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) with system owners for interface and networking implementations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area of study.

  • 10 years of experience as an ISSO/Cybersecurity professional may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience:

  • 7+ years Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security

  • 7+ years Performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.

  • 7+ years Authorizing or accrediting systems utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Skills:

  • Highly motivated and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced, schedule constrained, and complex security environment

  • Team-oriented self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflict in a constructive manner, and produce quality products efficiently

  • Strong conceptual thinking and innovation skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and public presentation skills

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills

  • Other Requirements:

  • Position will require U.S. citizenship

  • Requires active DoD Top Secret clearance.

  • Technology:

  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
