As a Mechanical Engineer at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of engineering professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will be helping us solve the world’s most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. What You Will Be Doing
As a Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting conceptual and detail of advanced hardware through the full product life cycle via dynamics and structural analysis.
- Work collaboratively with individuals from complementary disciplines within the Engineering, Manufacturing and Sub-Contracts organizations.
- Applying research to the planning, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products.
- Work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques and concepts.
- Being proficient in dynamic/structural analysis, finite element analysis, structural/vibration testing, and test correlation.
- Have knowledge of related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and HyperMesh.
It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

Candidates filling this position will need a US citizen and will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level” or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferably in Engineering or Aerospace Engineering)
• Professional experience, preferably working specifically in a Engineering role focused on Dynamics and / or Structural analysis.
• Knowledge of and modeling experience with related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and/or HyperMesh.
Desired Skills:
Professional, hands-on experience providing dynamics analysis support for product .
Working knowledge in one or more of the following:
-Modal analysis
-Shock analysis
-Vibration analysis correlation
- Modal correlation
Ability to work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques and concepts.
Experience in hardware and development.
Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Mature computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
