Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer (QE) - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin (LM) Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for our Sensors Integration & Test manufacturing center. Quality engineering experience is desired with an focus on electrical, optical, and/or mechanical assembly, integration, and testing.

Responsibilities Include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality product are delivered to the customer.

Supports integrated product teams with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and nonconformances.

Analyzing and resolving process issues.

Leads corrective action meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.

Participates as an active member of material review boards and failure review boards. Including dispositioning nonconforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action. Applying preventative actions to prevent recurrence.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100 requirements.

Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production and quality.

Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel.

Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

Makes final decisions on acceptability of products.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards and implementation of a Quality Management System

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test.

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening and technical writing.

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.

Demonstrated presentation skills.

Desired Skills:

Stem degree at bachelors level or higher

Experience processing material review boards and dispositioning non-conformances.

Experience doing root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Knowledge/experience evaluating risk when establishing new processes, automated controls and improvements.

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

Knowledge of configuration management and control processes.

Experience implementing automated processes and robotic technologies.

Special process experience.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).

SAP Application Experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
