The role you’ll contribute:

The Education Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing clinical expertise in home care to optimize patient/family, nurse and system outcomes and is responsible for the management of the development and delivery of the internal educational programs for the organization including orientation and continuing education.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Provides direction for the education activities, services, programs, and plans for the home care program.

· Develops, updates and recommends the policies and procedures for delivery of educational training and orientation to staff and volunteers to comply with mandated regulations and organizational goals.

· Monitors and evaluates clinical practice and identifies growth needs of the clinical staff. Implements and evaluates a plan to address clinical staff, growth and development needs through continuing education training to clinical staff and as mandated by the state, federal government and the organization as a requirement for employment. Coordinates guest instructors when training focus is outside the educators' expertise.

· Identifies problematic systems/process issues, develops plans to improve and monitors outcomes. Develops/implements process improvement and/or clinical best practice initiatives at the organizational and department level. Acts as a change agent, evaluates environment for change readiness and develops and implements plans for change using research and evidence based practice. Monitors change driven outcomes.

· Serves as the educational resource to management team and participates to assess procedure, technique and quality and develops and implements plans for process improvement.

Minimum qualifications :

· Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.

· Knowledge of current training, education and orientation concepts and ideas, including adult learning and evaluation.

· Knowledge of curriculum design, performance and resource development.

· Knowledge of AHCA requirements with regards to education and training.

· Knowledge of nursing competencies and skills in the performance of duties in compliance with the legal and ethical parameters established and based on the level of education and certification attained by the employee.

· Knowledge of electronic medical record.

· Knowledge of basic to intermediate application of Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as internet software.

· Ability to complete AdventHealth Home Care Orientation and Training, as necessary.

· Associate and 7 years experience

· Associate's degree in nursing or related field is required.

· A minimum of 7 years in training and development or related field is required.

· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator

· Basic Life Support - CPR Cert

· Registered Nurse

· A clear/active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license

· Maintain a current, valid Florida Driver's License in good standing with a safe driving record and a reliable vehicle.

· Maintain valid personal automobile insurance.

Preferred qualifications :

· Healthcare or home health experience •Bachelor's degree in training and development or related field

· Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C)
