Lockheed Martin Reliability Engineer / Early Career / RWS / Orlando in Orlando, Florida

Description: Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (doe) constructs. Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer, and governmental agency reliability objectives. May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data.

Specific Job Description

This job entails identifying and resolving electromechanical technical issues and hardware/software integration. Responsible for troubleshooting technical problems and issues, determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, analyze data to identify failure trends and recommending actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Responsibilities include interacting with subcontractors, report writing, white paper writing, software/hardware integration/troubleshooting, FRACAS, Engineering Screening Board (ESB), Engineering Change Board (ECB), Failure Review Boards (FRB), and Directors Capital Review Board (DCRB). Recognize opportunities for improvement based on failure data. Candidate should have the ability to learn hardware/software and troubleshooting skill sets. Interact with engineers, subcontractors, program managers and customers during the investigation, documentation, and resolution of system/test set failures.

Basic Qualifications:

BSEE or BSME

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Strong Computer Skills including MS Office

Demonstrated ability to work within a team

Understanding of requirements conforming to current industrial/military standards

Strong interpersonal communication, planning and writing skills

Ability to adapt to up-tempo work environment, motivated and result oriented

Desired Skills:

Experience troubleshooting or repairing electronics in military or commercial industry

Experience presenting findings to customers and management

Active Secret Clearance

Testability & Maintainability Experience

Mathcad, Matlab, LabView, Test stand, and Lab Windows/CVI Systems integration Experience

Electronic/Electromechanical testing and troubleshooting

Understanding Engineering drawings, Mechanical and electronic

Python, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Fortran and Procore

Reliability Engineering Internship

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
