Robert Half Security Network Engineer in Orlando, Florida

Description We are on the lookout for a Security Network Engineer to join our team in the Communications industry, located in Orlando, Florida, 32811, United States. As a Security Network Engineer, you will be tasked with various responsibilities including monitoring and maintaining network security, diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues, and implementing network security protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain network security to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data

• Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency

• Implement network security protocols to safeguard the network from potential threats

• Work with Cisco ASA, Cisco ASA Firewall, and Cisco Routers to ensure a secure network environment

• Participate in the design and implementation of network security strategies

• Collaborate with the team to identify, develop, and implement new security technologies

• Provide technical support to team members and other departments as needed

• Regularly review and update network security policies and procedures

• Lead and participate in security audits and assessments

• Stay current with the latest developments in network security technologies and threats. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Proven experience working as a Network Engineer, with a focus on security.

• Expertise in Cisco ASA, Cisco ASA Firewall, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Firewall is mandatory.

• Demonstrated understanding of network protocols, LAN, WAN, SSL, VPN, DMZ, and firewall is essential.

• Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing.

• In-depth understanding of network security architecture, network and networking protocols.

• Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.

• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
