Lockheed Martin Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description:

You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Engineering Prototype Laboratory (EPL) in Orlando, FL. The EPL specializes in producing complex machined and fabricated components that support the early development and testing phase of advanced defense applications and systems.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the primary duty will be to coordinate the overall effort of transforming engineering concepts into finished product utilizing EPL’s highly skilled machinists/fabricators/technicians and unique manufacturing capability including CNC multi-axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and laser bed powder fusion (LBPF) additive manufacturing.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

•Four or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree OR two or more years with a Master's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equiv.

•Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance which requires US citizenship.

•Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as manual & CNC machining, sheet metal forming, welding & assembly

•Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

•Experience with Computer Aided (CAD) – PTC Creo, CATIA or equivalent.

Desired Skills:

•Experience with precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.

•Working knowledge of typical Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).

•Lean Six Sigma training & experience

•Knowledge of LM systems such as SAP, P2P, for ordering and tracking hardware

•Experience working in a prototype environment

•Ability to estimate labor and material to fabricate, machine and process hardware in a “build to print environment”

•Familiarity with Technical Operations engineering organization to drive hardware producibility earlier in the process

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
