AVT Simulation Software Developer Level 2-Security Clearance Eligibility Required in Orlando, Florida

Job Summary

The Software Developer Level 2 is responsible for developing, testing, and debugging software applications. You will work closely with our team to ensure high-quality software delivery and contribute to various stages of the development lifecycle.

 

  • Annual s​​​ alary based on experience: $74,100 to $105,000. 

    Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Develops and maintains software applications on Linux and Windows platforms.

  • Tests and debugs software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Utilizes Jira/Jama for project tracking and management.

  • Documents development processes and project progress in Confluence.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Participates in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.

  • Completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university with a Technical or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Five (5) to 10 (ten) years of job-related experience.    Simulation system software development and/or testing experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in C++ programming.

  • Experience with Qt framework for developing cross-platform applications.

  • Familiar with Linux/Windows applications and hands on experience with Jira/Jama and

  • Confluence.  

  • Previous experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • T est documentation (Requirements Traceability Matrix, Acceptance Test Plan, Use    Case , etc.) d evelopment experience is required.

  • System design documentation experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira/Jama and Confluence.

    Essential Mental Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for documentation, intra-team, and interdisciplinary interaction.

  • Attention to detail in written products and work performance.

  • Excellent computer skills including troubleshooting of hardware and software (i.e. reading logs, identifying conflicts between pieces of software, basic operating system operation administration).

  • Ability to solve problems by analyzing and thinking critically.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.   • Computer, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

  • Basic computer operating system (Linux, C, C++, Qt Windows applications)

  • Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Microsoft Project

  • Issue tracking and information sharing application (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

  • JAMA

  • Equipment & Software for Testing (Simulations, test bed environment, etc.)

    • US Government security clearance may be required and candidate must be eligible.
