Software Engineer II (InSITE) - "W-TRS"

Job Description:

*Under the guidance of the Senior ISTS Developer, develops the ISTS, including the user interface, back-end services, database interactions, and integration with external systems like the PEO STRI LT2 Portal.

*Develops code for secure authentication mechanisms, encryption of data, implementation of role-based access controls, and ensuring the secure storage and transmission of sensitive information.

*Manages the database schema and structures, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and integrity.

*Conducts thorough testing of the ISTS, including unit testing, integration testing, and security testing.

*Identifies and fixes bugs, so the system meets all functional and performance requirements.

*Assists in the deployment of the ISTS to the contractor-hosted environment, including configuring the system, setting up the necessary infrastructure, and ensuring the system is operational for both government-approved contractor personnel and government personnel worldwide.

*Creates comprehensive documentation for the ISTS, including system architecture, code documentation, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

Education/Experience:

(2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The worker is primarily in an office environment. Programs will require travel to and working in outside environments at government locations from hot and dry to cold and humid. PPE required to mitigate environmental and safety hazards.
